I just finished reading a blog post on fastcompany.com that got me thinking. Read it here, http://www.fastcompany.com/magazine/78/mgoldsmith.html.
I think this may sum up the whole reason why I created this blog. That is, when we retire, we may leave a job we are no longer interested in, or are completely stressed out by, or are just not having fun doing. What we do after we leave the job is what really matters.
Sitting in front of the TV will most likely depress most people. What do you love to do? What have you always wanted to do but could never find time for?
I remember when I was younger, when I was unemployed I took college classes. Eventually I got my degree. I wasn’t unemployed the whole time, but I was turned on by learning and making new friends in an intellectually stimulating environment.
It’s a great place to start if you can’t think of anything else to do. Whatever you do, do something. And I have a confession to make. I don’t even own a TV, but I will admit that if I don’t check myself I can spend hours playing games on my computer.
