I find it sad, actually. Because one of life's simple pleasures is anticipation. When I plan a trip, for me, half the fun is anticipating it, planning it, looking forward to it. In a way, it takes the joy of that trip and gives a me a little of it right now! What can be wrong about that. I have found the same joy thinking about, planning, and discussing my own plans for retirement. I would never consider that wishing my life away; I consider it experiencing some of the joy my future holds for me RIGHT NOW. I look forward to reading more of your journey toward retirement.
