It is tiring striving to count the time we’ve invested looking up
find real estate articles.

Great post here. It resonates LOUDLY with me – With the exception that my home is in Portland, I am ‘prexactly’ (combination of ‘precisely’ and ‘exactly’) in the same place.
I have long thought I’d retire to Hawaii (the Big Island). But more and more I am thinking about other areas with equally warm, or tropical climates. Next to the ‘cost of living’ issue, outdoor recreation possibilities and good soil for gardening are top requirements.

Thank you, Deborah! We do love it here in the summer
.
Your requirement for good soil for gardening also resonates with me and reminds me that it’s a really good idea to make a list of the most important things we want in a location.
It’s like making a list of the most important things we want in a new house (which most of us come by after living somewhere that didn’t have those things).
