It resonates LOUDLY with me - With the exception that my home is in Portland, I am 'prexactly' (combination of 'precisely' and 'exactly') in the same place. I have long thought I'd retire to Hawaii (the Big Island). But more and more I am thinking about other areas with equally warm, or tropical climates. Next to the 'cost of living' issue, outdoor recreation possibilities and good soil for gardening are top requirements. Deb Great post here.
