I have a younger sister named Ernest, who likes to go to London and spend all her money, but when I retire Ernest will have me living as a pauper.
The importance of being Earnest – save, save, save and save some more.
I began putting money away for my retirement at the ripe young age of 39. I thought I was pretty old then, but now that I have made the commitment and very happy I did. While I won’t be a multi-millionaire when I retire, I will have a pretty good nest egg.
For all you 20 and 30 somethings out there, start now! And remember the importance of being earnest, that is earn plenty and save plenty. But please do have some fun along the way.
And the best is yet to come!
